Lots of people search the Internet for the best way or best method to get their ex back. Their searches won't really give them what they want because there isn't a definitive best way. This is because every person and break up is different. Therefore while one technique may work for one couple it won't work for the other. After a break up there will often be one person doing the chasing and one person playing hard to get. It's normally the one that was dumped who does the chasing although sometimes the person that dumped their partner may decide that they've made a mistake and start trying to get them back. If you're being chased by your ex you're obviously in a stronger position than someone doing the chasing. Some self confessed relationship experts say that for the longevity of your relationship you should ignore your ex's advances if they're chasing you. This is terrible advise, the moment you can get your ex back you should do before they meet someone else. If you find yourself doing the chasing then take a few weeks away from your ex to begin with. If you're lucky your ex may come back to you during this period. If you keep trying to make contact with them too soon after the break up it will do more harm than good. Your ex will just put more distance between themselves and you if you start creeping them out. The break is a great opportunity for the pair of you to have a long think about what you want from life and from each other. After spending a few weeks away from your ex you may decide you don't actually want them back. If you're still in love with your ex after being apart and you still want to reconcile with them it's time to make contact with them and try to arrange a meeting. The way you contact your ex will depend on your circumstances, just trust your instincts.
